Roshanak is a choreographer, director, performer, producer, and the Artistic Director of Jaberi Dance Theatre–with a career spanning over 25 years. Working at the interface of performance and politics, she has received several awards and nominations for her stage work and films and has presented her work internationally.

Karen Kaeja is an award-winning Canadian choreographer, project instigator, director, performer, filmmaker, dramaturg and mentor. She develops platforms for collaborative relationships between dancers and everyday people concentrating on the agency of Touch. Co-Artistic Director of Kaeja d’Dance with Allen Kaeja, she is commissioned and presented around the world.

Jukka Rintamäki composes music for contemporary dance, theatre, film and gaming. He has produced music and sound design for more than 40 stage productions throughout the world, such as the Royal Opera Stockholm, BAM Brooklyn, Mercat de les flors Barcelona, Jacob’s Pillow, the Royal Theater Dramaten Stockholm, the Göteborg Ballet and CBGB. He has worked with choreographers Kenneth Kvarnström, Virpi Pahkinen, Helena Franzén and Zvi Gotheiner. Some of the game developers he has worked with include DICE, Avalanche Studios and Remedy Games. Rintamäki is based in Stockholm where he produces music in his studio.

Arun has worked extensively in the performing arts. He trained at York University earning a Specialized Honours B.F.A. Dance collaborators have included Robert Desrosiers, Peter Chin, Danny Grossman, COBA, Kaha:wi Dance Theatre, Tiger Princess Dance Projects, The National Ballet School & ProArteDanza. He has been the resident designer for Canadian Contemporary Dance Theatre since 2002. Theatre credits include The Stratford Festival, Factory Theatre, The Canadian Stage Co., The Globe Theatre, The World Stage Theatre Festival, fu-GEN, Cahoots Theatre Projects, k’Now Theatre & Buddies In Bad Times Theatre. His career has garnered him 8 Dora Mavor Moore Award nominations for Outstanding Lighting Design in both the theatre and dance categories. Arun has had the privilege of teaching lighting design at York University, Ryerson University, the University of Waterloo and mentorship at The National Theatre School. Productions have taken him to Ukraine, Malaysia, Singapore, India, China and across North America.

Susanna Wiklund is an artist, architect and scenographer working at the intersection of architecture, stage, installation and art. Her interest in spatiality and the way that the built environment affects those who occupy it, is often a starting point in the various projects she undertakes. Susanna trained at Konstfack and KTH in Stockholm and HDK Valand in Gothenburg.

Katarina Wiklund is an established scenographer and costume designer. A central aspect of her practice is the investigation of place and situation. Her work has been seen on different stages, mainly in dance, such as the Gothenburg Opera, Kulturhuset Stadsteatern, MDT and Cirkus Cirkör.

Anna was born and raised in Reus, Catalonia, and is currently based in Malmö, Sweden. She studied contemporary dance at the Institut del Teatre in Barcelona and graduated in 2010. She has worked with celebrated artists such as Alexander Ekman, Akram Khan, IT Dansa, Verve12, Retina Dance Company, Jasmin Vardimon, Nicolas Ricchini Company, Jorge Crecis SQx, Simba Dance Ensemble, Kernel Dance Theater, Skånes Dansteater, 99 Art Company among others. Other career highlights include: 1st solo prize at II Certamen Mujer Contemporanea (Almeria, Spain); 1st solo prize Premi Beca Roseta Mauri (Reus, Spain); a choreographic commission by T.H.E Second Company at the M1 Contact Contemporary Festival (Singapore, Asia); finalist at the X Certamen de Danza Burgos-Nueva York; and semi finalist at the 18th International Solo-Tanz Festival in Stuttgart (Germany). Since 2014, Anna has produced her own works and collaborates with international artists, institutions, and youth companies under the Anna Borràs Company.

Mio Sakamoto is a Toronto based dance artist originally from Japan. She is a Dora nominated performer, choreographer, dance filmmaker, dance educator, and Co-Founder of MillO Dance Projects. Mio has performed many works by Canadian companies including Kaeja d’Dance, Jaberi Dance Theatre, and Red Sky Performance. Her choreographic works were presented in Canada, Brazil, Slovenia, Germany and Japan.

Mairéad Filgate (Toronto/Montreal) has created and performed with an array of incredible artists and had the immense privilege to perform across Canada and in India, China, Mongolia, France, Belgium, UK, and the USA. As a founding member of the award-winning collaborative trio Throwdown Collective, she spent 15 years co-creating choreography for parks, forests, stages, runways, and film. In 2022 Mairéad premiered Note the Weather, her first independent, full-length, site-specific work, on the grounds of the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (Toronto).  Inspired by her time as a member of the Danny Grossman Dance Company (2003-2008), Mairéad is currently collecting oral histories of the company’s storied three decades. In 2023 she presented excerpts of her research at an exhibit at the dance: made in canada/fait au canada Festival (Toronto). Mairéad is greatly influenced by American choreographer Trisha Brown and makes regular sojourns to NYC to study her work.

Hui-Han Hu, born in Taiwan and residing in Sweden since 2007, has been active as a dancer since 2013. She studied dance and dance pedagogy with a focus on Chinese classical dance in Taiwan and dance for children and youth in Stockholm. Her work spans various stage art forms, including dance theater, modern dance, performance art, vertical dance, physical theater, and puppet theater.

Doris is a theatre/film artist, having written/performed in many plays and indie films. She produced the documentary films-This Beggar’s Description and The ‘R’ Word. In 2022 Doris took acting intensive courses at HB Studios, New York City. Doris has a PhD and works as a research and community development consultant.

Bren began acting at 12-years and graduated from Toronto’s Etobicoke School-of-the Arts. In her teens she appeared in many television shows and two feature films. Recent theatre credits: “As You Like It” and The Wrong Bashir. Bren is now focused on working behind the scenes as a writer and director.
