Supporters will be acknowledged on printed and electronic program brochures, on our social media platform and in our quarterly newsletters, and will have access to special offers such as complimentary tickets to our performances and workshops. Patrons can also choose to remain anonymous. As a registered not-for-profit organization (not a charity), we cannot provide an official tax receipt for donations. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions or would like more information. If you are not able to make a monetary contribution, there are other ways to support our work, keep reading to find out how.
We would like to acknowledge the support of the Canada Council for the Arts, The Ontario Arts Council, the Toronto Arts Council, the Ontario Trillium Foundation and Heritage Canada. We also extend our deepest gratitude to our community partners who provide in-kind support, our volunteers, individual donors, and audiences, past and present, who support our work.
Creating, producing and staging high-calibre productions is expensive and requires the collaborative efforts of many creative and passionate individuals both on stage and behind the scenes. When you support our projects, you become an instant collaborator by helping us realize our full creative vision. This in turn helps keep artists employed and strengthens our economy, attracts tourism, and helps build a strong sense of community.
Monetary contribution will help us with two keys expenses:
– Artist fees (e.g. performers, designers, directors)
– Production expenses (e.g. technical crew, venue rental, equipment) accessible and affordable performances
In-kind support can include any resources that can be shared or donated such as access to a venue for rehearsals, meetings, workshops and performances; digital tools and software; administrative supplies; technical equipment; and materials for set and costume design.
If you would like to be more actively involved in our projects, you can join our advisory committee, assist us on-site in our workshops and performances, help with outreach activities in your community, or help us recruit and reference other volunteers. We can always use an extra hand.
Perhaps you have a special skill such as graphic design, marketing or copywriting – if so, we welcome your contribution.
If you are passionate about social justice and community building, a great way to support our work is to support the initiatives of organizations we believe in, who are doing important and meaningful work on the front line. We are currently supporting Seawatch.
Purchasing a block of tickets for audiences with economic barriers is a great way to ensure that more people have equal opportunity to experience our work.
Promoting our projects via social media, print, traditional media and word of mouth will help us expand our audience outside of our home-base. Tell your friends and colleagues to follow us on social media and sign up for our newsletter.
We are always open to collaborations and welcome opportunities to be programmed and/or commissioned for new work.
We thank you for your time, support and interest in our work and appreciate your contributions in all forms.
