About This Project

Slipping is a new site-specific creative experiment, a dance film in the making, that will bring together an all-female team of collaborators for a two-week collective quarantine. Artists will live together at a secret location in Ontario, where they will transform the dwelling to reveal intimate stories unfolding from room to room. Inspired by our personal experiences during pandemic isolation, the project explores the paradox of relationships slipping between the dark and joyous nuances of our physical, emotional and psychological landscapes. Co-directed and co-produced by Karen Kaeja and Roshanak JaberiSlipping is a Jaberi Dance Theatre project and is generously funded by the Canada Council for the Arts, Digital Now.

The film will be released in 2022, but keep an eye out for a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the work in development on our Instagram.
